These weekly workshops cover a number of different topics to make JupiterOne work for you. Take a look at the descriptions below:

J1QL Intro

This is your crash course on the query language we use in the JupiterOne platform. At its core, JupiterOne is a graph database connecting disparate systems into one central command center. The JupiterOne query language (J1QL) helps you find the data you're looking for. We'll teach you how to:

  • use the JupiterOne Query Library (over 400 pre-written queries) as a launching pad
  • write, save and share custom queries as questions
  • create alert rules or dashboards from queries

J1QL Advanced

This workshop goes beyond the basics of J1QL and focuses on more complex queries and customer-specific use cases.

Policies & Procedures

Policies and procedures are the documented backbone to any security program. In this workshop, we'll explore the Policies section of JupiterOne and show you how to:

  • make the most of templated policy and procedure documents that have been genericized to cover security operations across various industries
  • manage your existing policies and procedures
  • create workflows for policy review & approvals

Compliance

Adherence to regulatory standards are table stakes for any SaaS application. In this workshop, you'll learn how to use JupiterOne as the hub to manage security benchmarks, standards, and questionnaires. The session will cover how to:

  • map policies and procedures to specific controls or requirements
  • configure the queries needed to continuously monitor compliance with those frameworks
  • set up alerts based on established rules to catch any drift

Insights Dashboards

The plethora of data in the JupiterOne graph database must be summarized into dashboards leaders can use to make data-driven decisions. In this workshop, you'll learn how to transform JupiterOne queries and reports into widgets to produce organized dashboards that can be shared internally or externally.

Alerts

Separate signal from noise by creating refined alerts in the JupiterOne platform. Learn how to:

  • use out-of-the-box rule packs that contain pre-configured alert rules as a launching pad to notify of high priority items
  • fine-tune alerts to focus on the most critical misconfigurations
  • analyze the trend of an alert over time
  • configure reporting for critical alerts

The relationships between dev, security, and operations are the relationships we need to track and understand, including current state, historical state over time, and future state.
